The movie "Maybe" (Bəlkə də), written and directed by actor, director, and screenwriter Taleh Yuzbekov, is now playing in theaters. Filmed in the genres of sci-fi mystery and tragicomedy, the screenwork reflects personal losses and regrets associated with time. The author states that the idea for the film had been shaping since his childhood: "As a child, I used to play football, and my goal was to become a football player. Once, because I kicked the ball wide off the goal, the coach pulled me out of the game to the substitutes' bench. Since then, I kept thinking, 'If only there were a time machine so I could relive that moment.' I grew up, and this script came to my mind. There is a huge time gap between when I wrote this script and when I filmed it. In fact, when I was writing it, my father was still alive. But after he passed away, I realized that he was meant to be included in this script. Thus, years passed, but the movie wasn't filmed. The strange part is, it was as if the film was unlucky. Because just as we were preparing to shoot it, my mother also passed away. Ironically, her character was also intended to be in the script. This meant that an even greater regret had made its way into my life. When the film was completely ready, I watched it. I look back at the past and say, 'If only I had done things this way...' or 'Maybe if it had been like this, everything would have turned out completely different.' Unfortunately, nothing can be changed because we don't have a time machine. But at least we have a film like this where we can find solace. Although it is in the sci-fi genre, it turned out to be a very personal film. I wish for myself and for all of you that there are no 'maybes' and 'if onlys' in our lives..." The plot of the 1-hour-and-45-minute film "Maybe..." is mainly built around the acquaintance of two main characters—an inventor who has lost his loved ones, and an Angel. They want to go back to the past using a time machine and change everything. However, unexpected events and spirits from the other world haunt them along this path. And that is exactly where the real challenge begins... The production of the screen piece was carried out by Nijat Khalilov, with Iman Imanov as director of photography, Sabuhi Atababayev as production designer, and Khan as sound director. The cast includes Taleh Yuzbekov, Irana Kerimova, Gunay Ahmed, Nurlan Rustamov, Ali Alizade, Azer Aydemir, Kamran Agabalayev, and Alikhan Rajabov. It should be noted that the film "Maybe" is a co-production of "ART Bakers" and "Yüz prodakşn".
